Missing schoolboys found

IPOH: The three schoolboys who went missing after leaving their homes Saturday morning have been found.


Sungai Siput OCPD Supt Azman Salim said Monday that the three - P. Muganasundram, 12, Nur Muhamad Nazir Hussen, 12, and S. Vijay, 13, were located by a search party in Rimba Panjang, Sungai Siput, around 8pm on Sunday.


He said the three had cycled to Chemor and spent the night in an empty shoplot.


It is believed they did not attend extra classes in their school and were afraid the teacher would meet their parents, and therefore decided to seek some adventure.


It was reported that the three boys had told their parents on Saturday morning they were going to attend revision classes at their school.


Their parents became frantic when the boys were not home more than 12 hours later.


After the news of the missing boys broke out, the police, Rela members and residents of Sungai Siput, about 35km from here, fanned out to look for the boys at every conceivable site, including shopping complexes, the nearby jungle areas and rivers.
